Dentalium Octagulatum Shells

Dentalium octagulatum is a white, ridged shell with eight sides, thus the term octagulatum.

The shells come in bags of 90 pieces. You will typically get more than 90 good pieces. Please note that the bags are supposed to have 100 pieces, but the supplier's packers cannot seem to get the numbers right and a few shells may break in transit or be of lower quality, so we claim the bag only has 90 pieces so you are not disappointed. Consider anything above 90 a bonus.

The medium pieces are a mix of shells with some as short as 0.75" and a few could be up to 1.2". We do not do further sorting or grading. Please note, there may be some broken shells that are going to be smaller, perhaps, as little as 0.5". Each bag will vary to some degree.

Dentalium octagulatum are not endangered and are not subject to CITES controls.
