Among the Iroquois, the
larger rattles are used in Social Dances and ceremonial songs and
the smaller rattles are popular as gifts for children. They are made from real natural steerhorns and so will vary in color, shape and size. The overall length is approximately 27 to 30 cm long, with rattle tops that are about 6 cm long by 5 cm wide.
