Australian Abalone Shell Buttons

These 2-hole abalone shell buttons are made from Brown Lip Australian abalone shells.  They have an old-fashioned ridged look on the back of the button and are smooth on the front.

Genus and species: Haliotis rubra. Ranch.

Brown Lip Australian Abalone are not endangered and are not subject to CITES controls.
